AMA BRASIL has numerous reasons to celebrate National Aquaculture Day on the 20th of March

The National Aquaculture Day encompasses agribusiness and subsistence activities developed in continental and oceanic waters, including food production, ornamental activities, crustaceans, algae, fish, etc., allowing many people to benefit from these cultures throughout the Brazilian territory. The frank evolution of these classes of activities guarantees artisanal, professional and industrial production, various types of research by universities, governmental and private institutions which use little space to the detriment of the large volume achieved.

The 20th of March is the national commemoration of aquaculture activities. AMA BRASIL has many reasons to celebrate, as we are involved in at least six cultivation areas, with activities and participation, encouragement and support, which are of great value. The development, research, projects, actions and initiatives that guarantee the livelihood of the people and communities involved, the environmental preservation and how they are implemented, integrating various forms of production and culture guaranteed presence in all six national biomes.

There are many activities that exist in aquaculture, such as fishkeeping or aquarium hobby, lake farming or the culture of ornamental lakes, the production of ornamental fish and ancient species such as ornamental carp - Koi and Nishikigoi, the production of fish and other living organisms for human consumption in fresh and saltwater, the production of marine and freshwater algae for countless uses, aquatic plants and specific cultures are also developed exclusively in an aquatic environment. Fishing, fish production, many other cultures and activities produced exclusively in the aqua environments have immeasurable importance within local and global development. These are part of at least nine goals and activities linked to the 17 SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals of the UN - United Nations. These projects help in the fight against poverty and hunger and guarantee the sustainability of the use and balance of aquatic environments. Because of this reason, using little space with better results, we have these activities as trainers with the capacity to achieve awareness and maximum success whenever they are being used, increasing the cost-effectiveness value for places, communities, countries, and all the aquaculture sectors of the planet.

In the Federal Government's public policy, we currently have a force conducive to regularizing and streamlining processes for the use of areas, waters of the Union and private properties. Aquaculture and fishing organizations have and are benefiting from the procedures currently used. The processes, which previously took up to 5 years to be evaluated and approved, now have the agility that allows for full approval and duly licensed, in less than half a year (six months) with their respective concessions, when it is the case of use of public area and Union waters.

We have a lot to celebrate as our projects are being analyzed, approved and praised by the authorities, guaranteeing us and our associates, consumers and the entire market the great satisfaction of producing with social and environmental responsibility.

Together, Cooperaqua, AMA BRASIL has been developing license for the production of Marine Algae on the north coast of the state of São Paulo, creating initiatives for holding exhibitions and organizing the ornamental aquarium and aquaculture sectors for all of Latin America. We encourage and support projects that require certification, officializing their actions before the market and public authorities, similar to entities in the Legal Amazon that received attention for their regional and international activities.

20th of March is National Aquaculture Day. Save the day those who strengthen the activities and actions that culminate honour and responsibility and effectively participate in this group. All make this day a milestone for national production.

Kommentit

We are a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) carrying out activities in areas where there is no intervention from public and/or private authorities or where these measures are insufficient. Activities are also carried out to complement initiatives that need more attention to urban, rural and environmental areas already affected by social, environmental and cultural degradation. Interaction with different classes and groups helps to integrate the population and create balanced solutions.

AMA BRASIL contributes to the growth of a more developed society, with practical actions, especially with the partnership of all who idealize globalizing social-ecological and cultural equality.
