AMA BRASIL's Marine Algae Processes of the ALGAMAR Proj advance speedily with the Federal Government

Contrary to the news circulating on national media and proving the agility and commitment of the Federal Government for the growth and development of the country, the licensing processes for the assignment of use in water bodies of the Union, linked to MAPA - Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, under the responsibility of SAP - Secretariat of Aquaculture and Fisheries, with the participation of the Brazilian Navy and ANA - National Water Agency, had their copies filed in seven different processes in this year 2021. On various dates, from January to March, is a pioneer and inaugural procedure filed in the first half of 2020 by COOPERAQUA, with all the processes of 2021 specifically dependent on a photographic report and audiovisual information to have its continuity. Having as a solution to remedy the issue integrally, for all present and future processes, the realization of the Maritime Audiovisual Expedition of the ALGAMAR Project, which took place on the 27th and 28th of March, covering over 100 nautical miles. It was the subject of an article on this website, which resulted in the simultaneous submission of all necessary information to conclude the processes in the last two days of March. The Maritime Expedition was carried out in partnership between AMA BRASIL and COOPERAQUA, with full support from the COASTAL AGENCY, through its Director Martinus Filet, promoter and creator of the PROALGA Project.

Renato do Prado Santos, president of COOPERAQUA, during the ALGAMAR Audiovisual Maritime Expedition, held on March 27 and 28, 2021.

Two weeks after sending such documents and conclusive images for the processes, the analysis technicians of the aforementioned bodies have already advanced with their conclusions and manifestations, taking the processes to the advanced stage of field inspection, which can be fully licensed in a few weeks. At this time we intend to publish a successful article on the subject, since the ALGAMAR and PROALGA projects are of great social, environmental and economic value for natives, fishermen and their families in the North Coast region of São Paulo. This type of process could take years, even more than a decade, since in the administration of past governments, before the modernization of the electronic service system, this was absolutely normal, and especially with the reduction of bureaucracy of the branches and services of each participating agency in the opinions and analyses, where services are notably being improved with agility and professionalism, as we were already surprised in 2020 with similar processes being executed in less than a year, but now the perception is that we will have the conclusion in extremely short time, benefiting significantly the users and transferees of the system, which in times of pandemic means respect for the dignity and work of the populations and towns of Caiçara.

Various processes of "assignment of use" in water bodies of the Union are accounted for and concluded as a result of advances made in the four cities of the North Coast of São Paulo, with two processes in the areas of Praia das Cigarras in São Sebastião, one in Ilha do Tamanduá in Caraguatatuba, in Saco do Cedro in Ubatuba and two others in Praia do Poço and Saco do Sombrio in Ilhabela, adding six processes that are of extreme importance to residents of the linked areas and their surroundings. The seventh process was filed, beginning with procedures connected to Praia da Caveira in Ilhabela, generating expectations of equal speed and agility in the service provided through the Federal Government system.

In the upcoming days, the news will be published and posted on this site about the operations of the direct and indirect social impacts that this project will generate in its regions. The project provides work and income for families that today depend exclusively on artisanal fishing or trade-in products and services stemming from their local efforts. AMA BRASIL team led by president Hermann Palmeira, COOPERAQUA and members, represented by President Renato do Prado Santos, supported by the Coastal Agency's participation with its director Martinus Filet, and working, on socio-environmental and socioeconomic issues, with a focus to increase the productive capacity of these families and citizens. Complementary and principle incomes enable regional innovation that is a reality on the South Coast of Rio de Janeiro, proving its capacity to open new horizons for a region impacted by the fisheries issue. Relief was obtained due to researching, envisioning and implementing firm actions for sustainability at all levels of the project.

We are a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) carrying out activities in areas where there is no intervention from public and/or private authorities or where these measures are insufficient. Activities are also carried out to complement initiatives that need more attention to urban, rural and environmental areas already affected by social, environmental and cultural degradation. Interaction with different classes and groups helps to integrate the population and create balanced solutions.

AMA BRASIL contributes to the growth of a more developed society, with practical actions, especially with the partnership of all who idealize globalizing social-ecological and cultural equality.
