Expedition of the Film "TRANSAMAZÔNICA & TRANSMANAUS - BR230 E BR319" travels from March to May 2022

The President of AMA BRASIL, Hermann Palmeira, will perform another expedition. It will complete a pleasant new project, recording for the DOCUMENTARY MOVIE OF MEDIUM FILM a Pilot of the EXPEDITIONS Series. Being the first of a series of films, it will be a collection of audiovisual records of expeditions and will take place between March and May 2022 for image capture.

The first film and pilot is called "TRANSAMAZÔNICA & TRANSMANAUS - BR230 E BR319" and traverses eight states in Brazil. We begin at João Pessoa, capital of Paraíba on the coast of the far eastern end of the Atlantic on the South American continent and continue in route on the BR-230 Transamazônica, cutting west from east to west, following the states of Ceará, Piauí, Maranhão, Tocantins, Pará and Amazonas. In Humaitá in the Amazonas, the BR-230 and BR-319 highways intersect. BR-319 is known as Transmanaus and is the link between Porto Velho, the capital of Rondônia, and Manaus, the capital of Amazonas.Summing up the two routes, they are more than 5,000 kilometers long with at least 1,500 kilometers of road crossing and cutting through the Amazon rainforest, with extreme traffic conditions off-road.

The film's author and the director are expeditionary and usually make trips on these routes, which led to the proposal to make the film through fundraising under the Rouanet Law. The project was approved, having the benefits of tax incentive with a budget of R$495,000.00 (reais), almost half a million reais, which will benefit the populations of more than 30 cities along the highways. The film makes it possible to have a modern historical record of the conditions in which these highways are found today, especially for the people on the margins of these roads and cities. Without a doubt, many new features will emerge during the preparation of this project, and it is interesting to follow the details and evolution posted here on the AMA BRASIL website. Hopefully, we have the populations support to disseminate as much as possible the initiatives of this and other productions because the content is prepared for delivery to the population cost-free, with films and books, for exhibitions, broadcasts and literary events.
