AMA BRASIL subscribes to the formation of 4 new Indigenous Institutions Amazonas and registers them

The principal initiative for the strengthening of indigenous culture came into being about the middle of 2017. The registration, in association with AMA BRASIL at the public official's office, commercial board and the government revenue office, is catalogued after four years of its foundation.

The indigenous institution ICABBRASIL (Chiefs of Base of Brazil), founded by indigenous groups of chiefs, provides legal validity, denoting claims and joint actions of indigenous communities. Uniting forces of each cacique gathered in this Institute creates a single voice before the other existing organizations, including FUNAI - National Indian Foundation, the official indigenous body of the Brazilian State, created by Law 5,371, on the 5th of December 1967.

"The foundation formed by native leaders of the communities immensely strengthens the collective demands officially for all in the Brazilian territory. Subsequently, the participation of their members in any international initiatives is guaranteed." Hermann Palmeira, president of AMA BRASIL, creator, founder and subscriber of the four indigenous entities created.

On the same date, more indigenous entities were established, totaling three. These institutions increased the protagonism of their representatives in the face of demands and needs in indigenous communities, thus creating two more cooperatives, called COOPÍNDIO and COOPERÍNDIO, and one association called AIAREDD+ BRASIL.
